We had the letter a while back but has anyone had the actual payment yet?
I'm hoping mine turns up in November as advertised because they'll get over half back to pay my car tax. Hasn't arrived yet and the car tax hasn't been renewed yet either...
I haven't received any payment concerning this..
I did receive 66 pounds (back) from my provider end October. Paid into bank acc.
It's very different this year. I usually get my letter in October and 7 to 10 days later the money arrives. This year I only got the letter a few days ago, I've no idea when to expect the money. :waiting:

My car tax not paid yet either ! I've got the MOT on Thursday, so I'm waiting to see if it's a pass or a scrap. My poor 17 year old girl is flagging a bit....
Sorry to hear that but it's a good move. No point losing a month of tax.
My MOT is due next month.. My motor is 22years old..
She is still , in my opinion, a lovely Peugeot 206..
So, what if she needs a face lift.. and she doesn't glide like she once did..!! And does it really matter that her seats are not as firm as when she was young.!!
She is still a good ride.
They finally did fix cars. When I first had a car there were few that would get to 10 years old without failing their MOT through rust. 20 year old cars are pretty common these days and most still don't look bad.
I used to service mine before any long trip and carry a set of tools in the boot. There was about a 50% chance of needing them on a day out to the seaside from where I live.

6 months !
You can claim unused months back. At least I think you can.
I didn't know that :upvote:
You should all be getting the Winter Fuel Payment very soon. :upvote:

I'm not sweating on it
It's just that I'm buggered if I'll pay the car tax till the last minute it they make me wait for the winter fuel payment.
seems only fair!
Quote from: Alex on November 22, 2022, 09:44:30 PMI didn't know that :upvote:
Yes, you can claim back any full month but not part of a month.
I've checked mine now. I didn't.
nor me yet 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
I haven't had mine yet either.
my £600 arrived today - a help as this has been an expensive month.
Not as important as them up norf
Nothing here either, this far north is not important. 😩
Not this far west either.

Sounds fair to me. :upvote:
Some of my mates in this area are still waiting.. Various ages..
Not sure how it is applied... Only the Shadow knows the answer..
Still no show. The car tax will have to be paid tomorrow I suppose though.
Nor us. I wonder if the Over 80s payments have been processed first?
Nothing here yet either. It's husbands pension day on Friday, maybe it will come with that.
I read statement wrong.. No payment here.. :nooo:
Yet some of my friends have received theirs.. I think..

I guess the odd £500 either way don't mean much to you posh folks
I'm not desperate for it & anyway, I gave away the £300 element of it to someone who needed it a while back, but it will still come in handy.
Mine went into the bank today. Taxed the car and paid Barclaycard !

That was kind.
Checked and mine is in today too. The letter said November which it was (just). The letter gives a freephone number if not received by Jan 13 for survivors of hypotyhermia to call. I suppose I should pay my car tax now. I'm tempted to leave it until just before I go to bed.

:upvote: That's exactly what I thought when I read our letter.
Mine payment is in my bank.. For real this time..
It will stay there to help with the rising costs of bills..
Mine was but they had over half back when I paid the car tax
Still nothing here either.
I also have the second payment of 66 pounds from my supplier ..
Hopefully everyone will get their entitlement eventually, but no idea why it takes so long for some folk - most unfair
Got mine last week while I was suffering Florida temperatures in the 80's.
1955Vintage ... and playing golf eh !! Hope you enjoyed it ...
We had ours last week on two different days. Both into the same bank account.
