This is from my neck of the woods, so there's been lots of stuff in the local media.  A cat had to be removed from Wednesday's pitch during the match the other night.  Hopefully it'll recover.

I doubt the cat was slumming it all that time. Probably found a new set of slaves then went out for another wander as the food wasn't quite up to par. Had one wander in here but it saw me making the "Cat Found" sign and skedaddled. Ended up selecting a home a few doors away. Does occasionally visit my garden but no welcoming loo so moves on.

First wife and I had cats. We also had a frequent visitor, no idea where she came from, but seemed to have worked out when it was mealtime

I know an odd but very true story about a cat and a dog. Some friends of ours had a dog that had a lifelong hatred of cats, the dog got to about fifteen years old and was failing fast, our neighbours had noticed this cat that had turned up out of nowhere one day and had started to hang around the garden. The dog for once didn't seem to bother and made no attempt to chase it away, our friends just put it down to its age and ill health. One day, the cat got into the house and was helping itself to mitsies food. Mitsie just stood and watched! Sadly the dog had to be put to sleep shortly after, then the cat moved in, effectively "adopting" our friends who aren't even cat people and to this very day the cat hasn't even got a name! It's almost as if their dog knew she was on her way out and had somehow "invited" this moggy to take his place and be company to his old "parents"....

The main news showed the Sheffield cat on the pitch.. It was introduced when they were discussing Kurt Zouma..
The commentator said.. 'Meanwhile footballers in Sheffield show the right way to treat a cat'..  It gave them the runaround for a little while but was gently scooped up by one of the players..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

after it was shown on local news the disclaimer came up [the cat was released outside the ground, no cats were hurt in the making of this clip]... aint folks nice oop north?

The cat ate some food at the vets, so hopefully it will be ok. :upvote: I bet the owner is pleased to have him back.
