I find it concerning that much of this information has not been made public for quite some time since it (supposedly) happened.  I wonder why.

As for '1 million girls', I don't know.  It may have been exaggeration.  However the 1 thousand + are, of course, only those reported by West Mercia Police, unless I have misread it, and of course they are likely to be many more as yet unknown.
