I don't think any member of my family likes cocoa, but drinking chocolate seems more favourable , myself I'm a tea drinker and on very rare occasions i  have  the odd mug of coffee,

Q;  what do you like in the way of refreshments, and will you tell us your favourites,

Alex

I bought a tin of Salted Caramel drinking chocolate from Lidl, very very sweet but comforting. :upvote:

klondike

I like chocolate (too much) but not drinking chocolate or cocoa.

I don't drink chocolate.. or any 'pop' drinks..
I like Apple and Mango pure drink.. sometimes.
Tea in the morning.. I really enjoy my one cup of coffee mid morning.. and Ovaltine for bedtime.. It all sounds boring.
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

Ovaltine !  I remember this song

Veronica and I always had a Cadbury's Hot Drinking Chocolate immediately before bedtime, but some reason I just can't explain, I haven't had it since she died.
Come to think of it - I haven't slept anything like as well once on my own. I wonder if the hot chocolate had anything to do with sleeping better?

Worth a try Mike  :upvote:

I read about some tea on sale in Aldi that's  supposed to make you sleep but when I went in on Saturday they'd sold out, must be an awful lot of bad sleepers around :)

Aldi's low calorie Drinking Chocolate at 99p is as  good as the more expensive ones, they do an ordinary version too.  Not seen the sleep tea, could do with some of that.  I tired a different one before it was vile though.

Thanks Alex will give it a try providing they have some on the shelf.

I used to have a mug of sweetened hot chocolate if I'd been out gardening in winter.. Always warming..

I'm a confirmed coffee addict. The day starts with coffee - from a Dolce Gusto machine. My absolute fave is from a coffee shop/cafe on the Albert Dock in Liverpool calle Ruebens. Lovely stuff - not overly strong but very tasty!

Tale: There's a little cafe near the railway station in Ramsbottom (stop sniggering) called 'The Cultured Bean' that has a separate coffee menu. All rated for strength with little coffee bean icons. So me being a bloke, I ordered a cafetiere of the strongest - 8 bean icons. It was a Columbian dark roast. It was VERY strong - and 30minutes later my vision started to get very sharp and shakey! I had to wait a good 2 hours before I was in any state to drive home! I'd have been in a better state to drive if I'd had a skinful in the pub across the road. Lesson learned lol.

Good Lord - I have never experienced a caffeine 'fix' - perhaps not drinking the right stuff, but I do remember that Ian Gillespie, one of our ophthalmic surgeons never drank coffee in the 24 hours before he had a theatre list
