Not going into one is a good tactic for avoiding being trapped in a cave.

Similarly avoiding paragliding, base jumping and similar extreme sports is an excellent tactic for preventing broken limbs and injuries generally.

Of course some flights are shorter still. The ones where a scraper is needed to recover the  body.
