giving my sausage fingers I thought I'd give this a try on my new Chromebook it looks like it does work but I haven't managed punctuation or capitalisation or anything else like that still it's probably less hassle than my sausage fingers causing me to have to edit everything I type in in of course it sounds very strange sitting here talking to myself this obviously was created with the feature if you want to find out how to do it go for Google because there is no way I'm going to sit here and talk through it

just looked it up I was using the wrong word I should have said period period period bullocks got that wrong full stop appeared and then changed it to words. It's done it right that time why perhaps it can't recognise my voice full stop full stop period period I think it's going to be unpunctuated hey ho

I wonder about the other things new line
I had to say it twice why why I didn't say why twice looks like it's a working progress
9NU line what is that period period full stop full stop full stop it's a good job the microphone is not very sensitive

When Veronica's hands got so bad that trying to type was too painful, I bought her Nuance's Dragon Naturally Speaking. She found it a great help and I also set it up for myself when I was still writing books. It recognises proper punctuation! - full stop, coma, colon, quotes, etc.
I find that it is about 97% accurate - which is better than my typing, which only achieves a bit over 90
