Has anyone heard of this organization I'm a little puzzled....
I bought a new mattress on Tuesday, I paid with my Barclaycard and was given a receipt in the shop. On Wednesday I received a text message saying " you just paid '£xxx' to 'The Bed Shop' then there was a link (which I didn't click on) to 'Receipts.Sumup.com' How did they get my mobile number ?
The mattress was delivered on Friday and I'm pleased with it :grin:
I think Sum Up are the service that provides those small contactless payment devices that run via a smartphone or tablet. I've had Sum Up appear in my mobile banking from purchases in cafe's and pubs etc.
I just couldn't understand how they had my mobile number, it was a fair amount that's why I paid with Barclaycard. Not a problem as I've deleted message.
