I think they are getting madder every day. :yell: Not that I want that Truss Woman in No10, but  :wtf:

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a deep pool of talent in parliament?
We haven't even got a shallow puddle of talent. More like a damp stain on the floor, and they are all owned by the WEF.

I think a lot of Tories are realising that they've shot themselves in the foot by getting rid of Boris.  They took out a leader who managed to give the buggers their majority, but that didn't matter because they just wanted him out. Pity nobody had the brains to think about what happened next  :wtf:

Ashy

Ordinary members of the conservative party cannot remove the party leader, so it wasn't their decision.

Scrumpy

If only that were true.. I'd be happy... But I doubt it is.
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Ashy

The party leader can only be removed by members of parliament and/or resignation.

Diasi

If, which was proposed by members, the outgoing PM was allowed to be on the ballot paper, Boris would still be PM by a country mile.

As it is, ordinary party members can't stop these disastrous shenanigans by the MPs.

Well it has all happened during the silly season. Nothing important happening was there?

The Tories will lose the next election by a majority, similar to Blair's victory in '97 and by dumping Boris they're saving a few seats at least. Because in reality it's already too late. Try selling his Green Rubbish next time round, as an activist on the door steps with whats coming down the line - no thank you! His lies, ruinous financial catastrophies like lockdown and ill judged partnerships; from his cretinous wife, to Dominic Cummings axiomatically demonstrate this point alone. A huge, basic weakness that not even his infantile blatherings could have overcome. Good riddance idiot, go forward and multiply - something your undeniably a success at and don't forget your bike and kettle!

Your not a fan then Cass.  [1160]

It's hard to predict the outcome of the 2024 General Election but I do think that the Tories will struggle with Truss as she has no charisma whatsoever.

It was Boris's 'Jack the Lad' charisma, more than his Brexit policy, that won us the Red Wall seats.

Meanwhile, Labour could well be scuppered by Momentum activists.

I agree.. Boris was likable  and attracted voters..
They are like pop stars.. If they look good and can sing a bit.. they are winners..

Unless M Truss lets us down badly her party may well win the next election. Look at John Major for example for a complete lack of charisma, direction, or anything, but he won the 1992. And hard as it may seem the principle opposition party has found a leader with even less charisma.

I've already said that IMO they will stay their hand until after the election is won by Labour. Which I've also said it will be IMO. Let's hope that Ashy is closer to the mark than I am. Middle ground would be a coalition with the SNP with another Scottish independence referendum as the price which I've also suggested as a possible before.

I think the incumbents inbox has just too many impossible to solve in the time issues for anything but a labour win though. People can't remember the last full on Labour government as most were either unborn or children and I reckon that is what we will be getting.

By the way send the letters today or tomorrow. Welcome the new lass.
