Khan is worried about climate change and bangs on about low emission zones and cycle lanes.  Next month he is putting up a statue in Trafalgar Square of one John Chilembwe, a Malawian rebel who led the murder of civilians and preached next to a severed head.  There have been 4 knife killings in 4 days AND a riot and looting in Oxford Street on Friday.  It seems Khan is never brought to task over crime in the city, they just re-elect him !!!  Tonight another despicable crime :

"An elderly man has been stabbed to death on his mobility scooter in west London.  The man in his 80s was pronounced dead at the scene of the attack in Greenford, despite the efforts of medics to save him. No one has yet been arrested."   RIP old boy.

I would hate to live in London.

dreadful! in 46/7 we lived just off the Old Kent Road - wonder what it is like now?

Poor old chap. I wouldn't live there now either.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Figures released recently by Transport for London (S. Khan, prop.) showed that extending the "Ultra-Low Emission Zone" made no difference to air quality.

Nothing has made such a difference to air quality as the Clean Air Act c1964.

Maybe the stupid old duffer upset someone by riding down the middle of the road instead of using the pavement.

I used to feel like battering the old idiot who rode his mobility scooter down the 60 mph main road where we live.

I don't go into London anymore.. Even daylight hours are unsafe..
Stabbing seems to be the answer to most arguments..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Yes, I heard about this.  Apparently it was somewhere in the West End, so it seems that the descent into third world crime is no longer limited to rough areas of Londonistan.
It seems that an arrest has been made, but not surprisingly no mention of what sort of person it is.

Probably someone with mental problems.. They usually play that card.. and some IDIOTS along the line will believe it..

It could just be a pavement rage attack. There are a lot of knives routinely carried in London these days. If the attacker was white we'll know all about it soon enough but if not....

I have come to the conclusion that if ever I am arrested for committing any sort of crime, I shall plead that I have mental problems.
Sadly, I don't think that ploy works for all kinds of people though.

Juries don't always buy the mental health line.

What has my poor London come to? I never felt unsafe walking the streets in the 1950/60's when it was  mostly white. Wouldn't even go to visit these days, my city is lost to me.  Won't be long before the rest of the country is the same, it's coming to a street near you.

They certainly seem to.
Also, whenever I read about such crimes in the paper and they refuse to permit readers' comments, I can be sure of the specific 'background' of the perpetrator!

When I was still with my husband we sometimes took off for London for a long W/E. Did all the touristy things during the day, Zoo, Palace, Natural History Museum, ect ect, and did a show each evening. It was always a great time and I used to love it. My daughter and her friend do the same but these days my heart's in my mouth every time she says she's going there, I worry like crazy untill she leaves, safe and sound.
