One for the girls really do you remember perfumes you used to like that are no longer available ?  One of my favourites was Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, no longer available at Boots but still at Fragrance Direct on line.  Remember when Opium first came out, it was really strong but nice after an hour or so.  They then brought out Opium Black which always gave me a headache if I was next to anyone wearing it.

The prices nowadays are just ridiculous, so I tend to stick to one from NEXT now.  Have you any favourites from years ago we might remember ?

I liked Avon Topaz, Coty L'Aimant, and Opium!  I moved on to Elle, by YSL, and I quite like Chanel No 5 which has been around forever. My daughter says its an old lady's perfume.  Appropriate for me now then. 😁

L'Aimant has been around for years too GM, I remember my Mum wearing that.  April in Paris   in a little blue bottle was another one of hers.
My very first perfume was Miss Dior, a pink bottle, I stuck with Opium for years too.  Debenhams was good as you could walk round there spraying and come out smelling like a whores handbag  :yahoo:  :yahoo:

Opium.. good memories..
Jo Malone  Jasmine Sambac and Marigold.
Perfumes are so expensive.. I only have them as gifts now.. I never buy them..
A bit of Impulse sprayed about my body does it for me now days..

I loved perfume departments!  :yay: Californian Poppy?  And Woollies had bottles of 'perfume' that looked pretty but smelt awful!

Sorry Alex, I won't stand next to you, I wear Black Opium every day!!!!  some perfumes I can't smell at all, maybe my sniffer is not so good that's why I like the strong ones.

You could smell my mum's Poison perfume, and hear the jangling of her charm bracelet even before you saw her, bless her.

I do miss the Debenham's perfume department, sprayed everything in sight and didn't know which was which in the end.

I always cross any shopping arcade when passing perfume shops. I also make sure I don't enter places like Boots through doors that make me go through the perfume section. I find all those places pretty offensive to my hooter.

When I was working some of my colleagues used to wear Sunflower perfume.  I was very allergic to it and used to have to try and hold my breath when I walked through that bit of the office.  We were giving one of them a lift to a works do and I thought that, seeing as we were doing her a favour, I could ask her to not wear the perfume.  When we picked her up it just hit me and I had to sit in the car with her.

I'm another one who liked L'Aimant.

There's a candle type shop in Chester, near M&S and I have to avoid walking past the door as the smell takes my breath away.

That's LUSH Sheila, I have to cross the road too .
Jacq's just reminded me it was 'Poison' I got the headaches with, not Black Opium 😁😁😁
I've just sent for a bottle of Invitation by Michael Buble, only £8 on Amazon but not bad 😁 This is what got me thinking of perfumes from the past.

I'm odd I think, I love the smell from the Lush shop. 💐
