I'm never up early enough to see the binmen, we have to put them out the night before.

Putting out the bins is the high point of my week.

The bin emptying is very important to me as, apart from the appallingly dangerous LED street lighting, it's the only thing I get for my council tax payments.

street lighting? There's posh    ! No lights, no mains drainage, no mains gas, no pavements, Guess we should be grateful for water and electricity!

I find it's actually safer driving when the LED street lights are off.

Each lamp only illuminates a very small area in the immediate vicinity of the lamp so you are driving from dark to light all the time & if a pedestrian, wearing dark clothing, steps out from the dark area between two lamps you just don't see them until the dipped headlights pick them up, which is a slam on the brakes moment.

Our bin men come late morning..
They are a friendly bunch of guys.. It was them that decided to put names on their wagons.. I haven't seen BIN LADEN yet.. but he is about..
I have suggested BIN AROUND THE BLOCK.

You can tell when ours have bin - they leave them strewn across the path. Sometimes within 20 yards of where they were left. To keep everybody on their toes they arrive at random times. Usually at 7:30am if you forgot to put them out the night before. I doubt they get any Christmas tips.

They are great! I'll have to look out for ours, to see if they have names.  We're usually on the early run.
