I can't help but suspect that Cummings is co-ordinating this s-storm. I'm not sure where I stand - Boris should not have lied but it's not right that somebody like Cummings can topple a PM out of spite.

We probably have to thank him for gaining Brexit as well as Farage but I don't see him as being a likeable character at all.
Of course for many that's just something else to hold against him - I keep forgetting that as this place is a bit of an echo chamber on Brexit.

Was listening to Gyles Brandreth on Good Morning. He said he used to be a Whip when he was an MP, he left the Commons in 1997. He said they did tell people they may not get their funding etc. anything to make them tow the government line, he added it's been like that since Parliment began. If this new intake of MP's are such wimpy snowflakes that they think a bit of arm twisting by the Whips is a Police matter they are in the wrong job, politics is a dirty business always has been, you need to be tough. And as Mike says who would sack a woman on religious or race grounds these days?
They were probably asked if they minded a bit of whipping before they were selected but got the wrong end of the stick.... :grin:
