Buying clothes online

I need some new blouses so had a look and as usual, find it difficult to see the neckline because of the model's long hair.  Surely common sense should make the models tuck their hair back?

I've hardly been to the shops for over two years now.  I think Alex said that she goes to West Kirby so I may give that a try and have a little walk round the boating lake as well.

There is a large M&S near us and we both went there and came away with nothing!

M&S is slowly going down hill.. I tried a couple of dresses on recently..  I looked like a comfy old chair..
I look at clothing online and they look great on the skinny model but I never fool myself by thinking they will look the same on me..
Bought a cheapy skirt on Roman (18 pounds) in their sale.. It was great.. Just the right length.. and brilliant with boots..
Also we look around charity shops.. People had a good old sort out during lockdown and we found some great stuff.. Mind you, some charity shops are asking for 'silly' money .. The customer is well aware of original prices..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I like the Mill Shop in Heswall too Sheila  :upvote:

Thanks Alex, I'd forgotten about that.  I've been wondering about being brave and getting the train over to Liverpool.  I've only caught the train once in over two years when we had to go to Chester for our boosters.  It was sad to see so many shops closed but there's still John Lewis in Liverpool.

I think all the letters that I received from the hospital, the NHS and the GP surgery have affected my confidence!

A lot of M&S shops have gone. The one here shut ages ago. It was next door to BHS. Both are still shuttered.

From memory all the models in the M&S pictures were in their 30s while most of the customers were 50+. I think they tried to appeal to a younger demographic. They failed in attracting younger customers and alienated the existing customers.

I also notice that the menu on offer at M&S has changed dramatically.. Very little on offer compared to a couple of years ago.. Baked potatoes or sandwiches seems to be the norm..
.. and they wanted over 6pounds for a fish finger Ciabatta roll.. When I asked about this the woman serving said 'It's got THREE fish fingers in it.'
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I have not bought anything clothes wise from M&S for years now. But if in Perth I do go up to their food hall to fill the fridge, their ready meals are excellent.

Sheila

I don't buy many ready meals but I did buy an M&S fruity chicken curry and it was very tasty.  I've not seen it since!

I only buy ready meals when I'm on my own, down at my own place. Very handy when I don't want to be cooking.  :yahoo:

Thanks Alex, I bought some trousers from the Mill Shop today Alex - perfect fit.

I tried a blouse on as well but it made me look as though I had lumps of fat round my waist.  A strange illusion  :worried:
