To be perfectly honest if asked if he were alive or not I'd have guessed no. He didn't do anything much that brought him to TV screens once he retired from racing so it has been an absolute age since I saw the name. I suspect that accounting issue queered the pitch for him costing him dear. Unless he wasn't able to do presenting for some reason.
