not surprisingly, folk have taken out hot water bottles to help combat the cold. sadly, thus has resulted in quite a number of people receiving bad scalding as old bottles have perished and burst. Apparently one is advised to scrap them if they are over three years old. Until I read the article I never realised that they have the date of manufacture on them - at the top of the bottle at the back there is a little rosette emblem, in the centre of which is a two digit indicator '21' for 2021, etc. Worth checking and if you have a bottle without the rosette it must be pretty old and suspect.
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Good advice Michael.  I have two (new) hot water bottles, one of them is still warm from last night.  The other has two slots for my feet but I only use that when I am lying down so that I don't forget and try to walk!

I have always used hot water bottles. I often get pain in the small of my back and I tuck one in there when I'm sitting watching the telly in the evening. Helps a lot.

I'm a fan too. I love a HWB on my back too Raven.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
