The daughter of Sir David Amess is suing a police force and the Home Office over their failure to stop the terrorist who killed him.

Sir David was stabbed to death by Islamist extremist Ali Harbi Ali during his weekly constituency surgery in Southend in October 2021.

This could be a landmark case, there must be hundreds of victims of foreign criminals watching from the wings.

To take out a civil suit you need plenty of money. The recent post office scandal made that clear. They had to go for a class action and the biggest winners were the legal profession.

The police force service are becoming less and less effective ever since Treason May cut their numbers and they began to promote people with sociology degrees to the top levels.
The Home Office have only one real interest: themselves.

But we have falling crime don't we?

Or is it just that most doesn't even get reported and probably some of what does falls through the cracks.

I cannot see any reason why crime in this country should fall.
Few arrests, fewer convictions, no meaningful punishments.

There's the fall right there. Fewer arrests. Fewer convictions. No point reporting.

Very true.  Police and courts' attitudes: too much trouble; just let them get on with it.
