Post by: alfred on August 08, 2022, 07:57:06 AM
Well it seems Boris has gone down well with the American public , as they would it seems like him to be the next American president  that says a lot about him and also us , have we been a bit too quick to kick Boris out of No 10  ,

Q;  who  would  have you preferred to see in no 10 as both truss and sunak seem to dithering  and u turning  desperate for your vote, nothing to give me faith in , so who else could do the job of prime minister, and who would  else you like to  see in office,
will you share your thoughts with us,

To be American President you need to be American born.

As for who should be PM I think the whole lot are pretty clueless.

Boris presided over an administration that raised our taxes to the highest they have been for decades, promoted spending vast sums (of our money obviously) on his net zero project, wanted to rewild 30% of agricultural land, botched the Brexit deal, is in favour of virtually unlimited inward migration and told blatant and obvious  lies to try to cover up minor transgressions and failures of judgement. Admittedly the current contenders make him look good by comparison but in truth he was pretty useless.

Well as he's American-born he'll be able to stand for US President.

As for his time in office I have a much different view of him & I think that he did a pretty good job in the circumstances which were totally beyond his control.

He would have to be better than Sleepy Joe, just thank our lucky stars we haven't got Biden.

I hadn't realised he was American born but on checking it seems a US President needs to be resident for 14 years. I guess he could try lying about that....

If he spent the first 14 years of his life in New York that would make him eligible
We've made a big mistake in booting out Boris and for what ? I say "we" but in reality it was the British Media, the 1922 lot, not forgetting Cummings.  What a witch hunt it was.

If the Tory membership had been given a vote, Boris Johnson would still be PM.

I don't know how many members the Party has lost but it'll be quite a few as we've lost members locally.
