How does having an MRI and two sessions of having a 6 foot tube rammed up my bum in just over a fortnight rate? Mind you that is now all history and poor Raven is going to be on crutches for quite a while.

Just back from providing my new GP with id. Not that I expect them to be any better than the ones who ignored my blood test results for 5 years and then panicked.

I've got over my chest infection thank goodness, back to my aqua aerobics classes.  Unfortunately my OH is still quite poorly, improving very slowly.   I'm waiting for an MRI on my knee.  Doesn't compare with Raven's situation.

To add insult to injury waiting 3 hours past the appointment time for the results was almost certainly where I caught that wretched bug. The girl flu you lot keep moaning about

There's a patient in here with me and I'm sure she got flu, she should really be in a room on her own.

Sounds awful, I nearly passed out with fear when I had to get an MRI 6 years ago, it was during my gall stone period.
I had the tube thing down my throat twice to get them out of my bile duct, I was lucky that I got my throat sprayed with stuff to numb it.

I had been told that the MRI machine was claustrophobic and painfully noisy. Having my head out and being a bit deaf doubtless helped as the main problem for me was boredom.

With the colonoscopies the pre procedure laxative was horrible and made me feel quite ill. The first was painful at times and I overdosed myself on the gas and air. I live alone now so couldn't have sedation without a lot of upheaval for my children so opted to go without and in any event I have had bad reactions to anaesthetics in the past. The second it was a registrar guided by a senior consultant and his steering was a lot better than the consultant who did the first one and uncomfortable rather than painful. I walked back to town and got a bus home after both.

Girl Flu Boy Flu, both are awful to get, and both make you miserable. I'm worried as a lot of the wards here are closed with Flu and Covid, nurse was saying this Winter is so bad for viruses circulating. I was very sick and dizzy myself yesterday, will be so glad when I can stand and maybe get home. But my strength has gone.

Same from me too.

I know it's easy for me to say but I hope you can keep up with any physio regime.
