Anybody that believes backing down to him would bring peace needs to be just as nutty imo.
He is going to do some thing very nasty in the next 11 days you can bet on that.
Do we know why Putin has suddenly broken his brain over Ukraine?
Putin thought he could stroll into Ukraine as easily as he took Crimea from them. There is speculation that he could be ill, possibly terminally ill. Parkinson's is one suggestion as he has been seen with some pretty bad hand tremors.
He wanted a legacy and maybe has limited time left to him to achieve that. Having his army take a huge chunk of Ukraine or even all of it would be his foundation towards rebuilding a Russian empire.
Unfortunately it seems that the Russian army is pretty much useless and his legacy will end up being the man who destroyed the Russian economy and was humiliated militarily. The snag being he still has nukes.
When will these rulers/politicians/despots grow the hell up!
That's something his own people would not allow him to do, as there is hell of a lot of nukes pointing their way.
