Scrumpy

It's all coming back to bite him on the bum..
He should have kept his mouth tightly shut when Boris was in the limelight about drinking wine with others..
So damned righteous ..  Him and his gang kept on saying how wrong Boris was and as a liar was unfit to run lead the country..
Another one bites the dust..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

Well at least that awful Angie woman can't replace him because she was at the Beergate party too !

Cassandra

I understand that Starmer has been quoted as saying that if he's required to pay a fixed penalty notice fine, he will immediately resign.

Do you believe him, let alone his firebrand deputy?

No, I don't believe him, or her

If he does get a fine for an indident that happened at what began as a working event, it will be as ridiculous as the Partygate fines for incidents that happened during working events & so my view is that he shouldn't resign.

Where he went wrong was using the Partygate nonsense as a political weapon.

I thought that the whole point of 'Partygate' was that it was after work?

The original incident that kicked off Partygate was a few sandwiches & a glass of wine on the Downing Street lawn during lunchtime.

The second incident was the surprise birthday cake during a break between two Cabinet meetings.

The problem with Number 10 is, in actuality, there is no after work period as there are always some staff present in the offices.

The Starmer Beergate incident appears to have been after the working meeting had finished, according to his written schedule for the day.

Boris got it wrong.. That's a fact.
Starmer should have stayed silent..
He didn't..
Moaning about 'something ' doesn't go down well when you are doing the 'something ' yourself..
It is worse than the original 'something '..

I know what you mean Scrumpy
