Mind you the training takes 11 years. I suspect some of that training must cover counting your cash and boredom avoidance.

'Substantial' fall in GP hours with half now only working 'three days a week'
A study, commissioned by the Department of Health, shows 58.4 per cent of family doctors were working six half-day sessions or less

Something to ponder while waiting on the phone to speak to somebody who will tell you there are no appointments left this month.

So disappointing and an insult to doctors who, years ago, worked damned hard.
They didn't have all these (miracle) drugs.. nor the technology..
But they were approachable, respected their patients and  got the job done..

In the 1960's you just bowled-up at the surgery, took a seat in the waiting room & waited to be called to see the doctor.

They'd have thought you were mad if you'd asked for an appointment!!!!!!

Now you're mad if you expect to get one before it has either got better by itself or you've popped your clogs.
