It does not affect me, but it seems there is always something out there that just wants to make life more difficult, I find constant change stresses me out bigtime as I barely know what I am doing technical wise.

Changes, changes all the time. It was much easier to just nip out and find a tree on fire...

well, I have retuned both TVs - one Sony, one Samsung, and  as I understand it BBC4 is now on FV 106, but selecting that channel brings up a screen saying this is BBC4 and how I can watch BBC4 programmes on I-player, but no picture, despite supposedly being on from 0700.
Any ideas please? Not that I am over worried - can't remember the last time I watched BBC4

BBC4 actually carried some interesting stuff iirc.

You got mixed up with the 12/24 clock sir. I checked the schedule and it starts at 19:00

blushing at my failure to read the message properly, I went on to I-player and checked BBC4. A lot of good stuff there - and also some programmes I have been watching of late on I-player actually originated on BBC4 without my realising it.

OH DEAR! I just looked at the instructions for "how to retune your box" cited in the article. It tells people to look for "factory reset" which may delete all your favorites and current recordings.

On my box you access "settings" and the first option presented is to rescan channels. It leads you right through such that a small child could do it.

Unfortunately you dont always have a small child available .....

I just rescanned the box channels. The TV seems to have done the job itself. It is obviously much smarter than I am.  :yahoo:
