Im familiar with the milgram experiments on obedience to authority. You should also look up the Zimbardo prison experiment as every 1st year psychology student does.

These studies were run in the 1960s and 1970s when people had more respect for authority figures and people in a white coat who told them that the experiment MUST continue. The Milgram experients were re-enacted at a later date and got a significantly lower rate of complience.

what about men hacking others heads off, or throwing men from high buildings because of their sexual prefrences...that wasnt in the 30's nor the 40's...
we might be surprised at what we are capable of....
