Makes you think Tesco and Superdrug are selling the same products under different names, made at the same factory, where metal pieces have been found.
The majority of these recalls are allergy related, there seem to be hundreds of different allergies about these days. I don't remember there being so many in the 60s but then back then there weren't so many additives in food.
Totally agree with you. :cowboy:
I found a big bolt in a lasagne and took it back to Tesco. I think it was a £20 voucher but money anyway.
I found what looked very much like a maggot in some rice that came with a curry or something like that. I took it to trading standards. I'm still waiting to hear anything back.
A lot of firms sell the same products .. the only difference is the label.
I remember listening to a factory worker who said .. same product.. we just change the label..

Superdrug and Tesco have just added to the list ! too much of a coincidence.
That's why I stick to Waitrose ..
No that's 'cause you is posh...
I is posh..
I can't afford Waitrose prices  but I do go in there if I want some out of the ordinary spice or herb. :upvote:
We don't have one, so I can't shop there. [1100]
same story here
There is one here, it's in the most expensive area of the city, too much hassle to get to.
I think lots of stuff comes from the same producers, just different labels.

The price labels are certainly different in Waitrose even when the brand label is the same.
Their motto is
You don't have to be rich to shop here but it helps.
From the article it seems that there'e nowt wrong with some of the food but some allergens haven't been listed which is why a recall has been done.
The tins could be reused with new labels.
The metal bits are dangerous & there needs to be a check at the factory & security checks on all the workers.
I bet they won't be though. Too complicated to organise.
I don't understand why someone would even do this, seems a real nasty type of person to me. :boo:
sadly, there are a lot of such scum around
Wasn't someone tampering with baby food a few years ago ? You can't get much "scummier" than that

Yes, that why the click-top jar lids were developed.
