every now and then when I try to log into it, I get a message 'you do not have permission to enter this resource' plus something about error 403. Happened about 15 minutes ago, only this time I was actually in the site, had posted in a couple of threads clicked on 'unread' and up came the message. Has anyone else experienced this?
Oh, and I have tried logging in a couple or three times since - no joy
All I see if I try to log in is a message about being banned
I just stay logged in. Lazy but easier. ☺️

On the rare occasions I log into PF I get that message most of the time.
I just click the browser home screen button then click on the PF button & I get in as logged in.

Oh yea? I'm sure I've seen you posting there recently!
Actually, in answer to the question, I remain logged in permanently, so no problems in that direction.
folk, different results, it would seem
Seems you'd just be best to stay logged in Mike. After all you don't share your computer or tablet with anyone else.

I don't knowingly log out out
It was errors accessing PF that lead to this site being set up.
very true - trying to access it was a real pain
A 403 is an odd error to get as it is not a server error as such it is just a permissions thing - trying to access a file or directory that isn't available to the web server. It could well be an error in the scripting and PF is still using a very old version of the forum code. The errors we used to see there were a dodgy server.
I could never access the other forum on my phone. All I got was a message saying the site is not secure. Didn't matter how many times I tried over the years that I've had this phone.
The message means that you are trying to access the site using http rather than https but it looks like it now does what most sites do and diverts automatically to https so I don't see why it doesn't with your phone - maybe it does now?
Just tried and yes it worked, straight to the home page. It's been almost a year since I tried, it was only when I was out n about I used the phone, I prefer my proper keyboard and computer.
My sausage fingers are not well adapted to using a phone to type. Mind you I'm adept at hitting the wrong key using any device.
me too
