General Discussion / Re: Doctors

Quote from: klondike on Yesterday at 11:45:00 AMNothing seems to work well in the NHS. Falling to bits.
After having NHS physiotherapy on and off since 2019 for a painful hip, I took myself off to a private physio who was recommended by a friend.  What a difference!
She recommended that I go to Spire to see a consultant who is a hip expert.  I saw him two days later and he had my NHS X-ray up on his screen.  Ten minutes (and £250 lighter) I had a diagnosis of hip abductor malfunction.
I googled it and found some exercises.  Two weeks later the pain was much less but I still have weak legs.
I went back to the physio who watched me doing the exercises and pointed out that I was favoring my stronger leg.  We had some useful discussions.
We can't see a GP but are pushed into seeing a life coach who has no medical qualifications!

I suppose that they are the people who live there and, regardless of their race, if they seem to be happy living with the difficulties and additional expense of driving, that is their choice.

As for the protest marches, again, if the people who live there are affected by them they do have the choice to vote for a change.  Perhaps most people who live there, of any colour, are happy with what is going on that is their choice.

I do, however, feel sorry for the Jews who live there as they must feel oppressed by both the protesters, the police who do nothing about it and, of course, their mayor.  What happened to 'racial equality'?  The police and, of course, their ultimate boss Khan have much to answer for.

Quote from: klondike on Today at 07:13:55 PMAs Raven is probably not seeing this I'll take a guess - that house is mostly unoccupied so it probably isn't worth paying for a connection. I wouldn't but I'd have a phone with a modest data allowance that could be used as a hotspot. Zero internet for me would put a big hole in my entertainment.
Ah!  Thank you Klon.
Clearly, I misunderstood.  I mistakenly thought that she had internet but that it had gone off for some reason.
Yes, that makes perfect sense, as does your suggestion of internet via a mobile phone.
I agree, as well, that the internet is not something I could do without.

I'd imagine that a lot of people have been apathetic.  Hopefully there may be some dissent over the recent protest marches amongst other things, and more people therefore bother to go and vote for an alternative, assuming there is a viable alternative🤷🏻♂️

I'd guess that most London residents don't have cars and are pleased with the anti-car measures. PLus they are all pinko lefties of course.

Quote from: JBR on Today at 11:07:51 AMWhat is the problem with your lack of internet connection?
Is it a particular supplier?  If so, I'd advise you to look for an alternative.  I have done that in the past.

S for London Mayor are in two weeks time .
Sadiq Khan is favourite for a third term
As far as I know there are fewer muslim voters than white British in London, so why is it odds on that Khan will be voted in as the next mayor?
Why do so many white Londoners want him, especially if they are drivers?
