No I'm not talking about noses, but more about fruit. where i live there was a few years ago places where you could during the summer months pick strawberries,

in earlier times before i moved to essex  there were other places.where you could pick believe it or not onions,

iv yet to see orchards where you could pick your own fruit
and going back even further many years there were families who wen hop picking ,

so it seems the nation over many years has and had been pickers.

Q; did you or have you either now or in the past done any picking and if so will you share youe memories with us

Alex

oooh I remember the days of PYO where you ate a couple, then picked a couple   The smell of picking fresh strawberries was lovely, we don't see it often up here, unfortunately.

There's one on the Clatterbridge roundabout Alex, I think it is called Claremont Farm.  They do pick your own strawberries but I seem to remember someone moaning about a high charge - probably because people eat them so much!  I remember taking my girls there when they were young.

Alex

Very rarely go past Clatterbridge roundabout these days, but good to know thanks  :upvote:
