All is forgiven.  In this period of 'Cakegate' poor Boris has been called out again-

"Tom Quinn from the 'Beat' eating disorder charity accuses Boris Johnson of "fat-shaming" after his "too much cake" jibe at SNP's Ian Blackford.

"Making a joke about someones weight is body-shaming. We need more sensitivity in our language."

oh dear oh dear....

Obesity crisis is  a result of too little fat shaming.
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

I don't agree,  it wouldn't make the slightest difference how much 'fat shaming' a person received, you'd have to want to lose the weight and the majority of obese people seem not to care.

I am going to make an effort to lose my Lock Down and Christmas excess weight ..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

klondike

Me too. This year's. Last year's. The year before that's. And.....

Scrumpy

Blimey.. You've got your work cut out. !
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Overweight creeps up in stages. I don't recall a year where mine has reduced or even stayed the same for way too long. I'm not enormously over the weight I'd like to be but dropping just a few pounds and seeing them stay off just doesn't seem to happen. I lose a few pounds, take my eye off the ball and they creep back on. Currently on a downward trend but that has stalled.

Losing pounds!! 1bs. !! 16 ounces..!!!
That's not overweight..
Come back when you can talk in stones..!!!
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

klondike

If I could lose a stone I'd be happy. If I lost two I'd be less so.

hugh

Must be my life style but I have no problem weight

You sound like the PERFECT man Hugh.. !!  :halo:
I am not fat.. maybe a few pounds over.. I keep myself busy when my body will let me..
The pounds creep up on us.. We are not all able to be active .. Good luck to those that are..
.. I blame Christmas.. Lockdown.. Cadbury..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Wish I was perfect Scrumpy, thankfully do not have any problem with weight. I have to exercise to keep my cholesterol down because I refuse the satin easy route. Arthritis was quite a big problem early this year with my right knee. Still have it in my fingers and left shoulder but a pain killer keeps me active. Nothing is easy when you get plus eighty years.

I have put on three stone since lockdown. I can resist anything but temptation.

Cakes , sausage rolls and pork pies are my weakness. Sent to the supermarket for fresh fruit and vegetables,  I pick up a couple of small pork pies to eat in the car.....unless there are puff pastry mince pies or Eccles cakes.
