not a good day - step-daughter died a few hours ago

Have you noticed, there are often tragedies around the world  just before Christmas, makes people's loss even sadder.

Today it's a bright morning, ☀️ no rain, no wind, no ice, it makes a change.

My son in law Richard stepped out of his car and twisted his ankle on the curb.. Marnie took him to A&E and said he was to call her when finished.. She drove to a nearby chemist.. As she got back into the car Richard phoned her saying he had been X-rayed and could she pick him up..
Ankle badly sprained..  How quick was that..!!

That's pretty good service Scrumpy! 

I went to the pub last night for food with the staff and other volunteers from the charity shop. My first venture out since being ill, really good to get out, but so tired afterwards, and I was home by 9!

Got to get a new fridge freezer, Himself is like a bear with a sore head about the cost. Wait untill the New Years over and things are back to normal, we also need a new cooker.

Made carrot, turnip and celery soup and then put it through a strainer so I could "eat" it.

Progress?  We had homemade carrot & leek soup today.

Progress indeed.  As of Saturday, I won't be straining the soups quite so much.
