Mind you the training takes 11 years. I suspect some of that training must cover counting your cash and boredom avoidance.

Something to ponder while waiting on the phone to speak to somebody who will tell you there are no appointments left this month.
.. and you bet that the day you phone is their day 'Off'..
My doctor has retired, she was in her 50s and only worked part time as it was !
then surely it time to rethink thheir contracts
£1700 a week for twenty hours is theft, bloody pop stars work longer
Except Adele ... Who doesn't always turn up..

And it would be good if their 11 years of training gave them the ability to determine life threateneing conditions that they miss.
So disappointing and an insult to doctors who, years ago, worked damned hard.
They didn't have all these (miracle) drugs.. nor the technology..
But they were approachable, respected their patients and got the job done..
in a nutshell Scrumpy they were Doctors

In the 1960's you just bowled-up at the surgery, took a seat in the waiting room & waited to be called to see the doctor.
They'd have thought you were mad if you'd asked for an appointment!!!!!!

Now you're mad if you expect to get one before it has either got better by itself or you've popped your clogs.
