There are disaffected backbenchers hoping to persuade Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of the 1922 committee, to change the rules on appointing a leader, which currently do not allow a fresh challenge in under 12 months. Unnamed ex-ministers and ex-Cabinet ministers are being quoted in the media as saying that Truss cannot survive.

Hunt's already said that taxes will rise & public spending will fall & that the energy price cap will be scrapped altogether after April 2024, but there hasn't been any media uproar.
