When I pick my friend up to go for coffee or shopping she continues to narrate all through the journey..
She isn't telling me an interesting story... She is telling how to drive..!!
When I am pulling out of a side road she tells me when to go and say's 'Go.. Go... Go' ... and approaching traffic lights 'The lights are still green.. keep going' ..
When I can move out.. overtake.. and even a parking space.. !!
'There's one.. there's one... go back.. straighten up.'
I don't take a blind bit of notice.. but she thinks I am.. and she thinks she is helping me..
She is a lovely Italian ... heart of gold.. We have been mates for donkey's years..

My friend is like that, I take her shopping on a Saturday because SHE DOESNT DRIVE ! I had to say something today as she's warning me about a giant puddle as we've had so much rain. "big puddle here" she says but if I'd swerved to avoid it, I'd have hit the car that was starting to overtake me. Comments coming from a non driver can be irritating, but they mean well.
For some unknown reason most blokes seem to be good at cockin' a deaf 'un.

Not just in the car either
:upvote: guilty
My brother -in-law was a back seat driver..
He told everyone on the road how to drive.. Not to their
face though..
'Come on you idiot.. you can get a double decker through there'
' Bloody overtake and get the traffic moving'
' I bet that's a woman driving that motor'
Had to drive Mr M back from his eye check up yesterday
A painful experience for both of us .
He just can't help telling me how to drive .
A brave fellow then....
He's lucky he has a meek little wife 😀
I'd noticed...

We have the same husband! 😁
My shopping pal is like that and she's never learned to drive !
When I was learning to drive I was in the car with Sam when we approached a mini round- about .. I stalled.. Sam went potty.. 'Hurry up.. hurry up.. there are cars behind us'
He flustered more than I did.. Because of this I couldn't get back into gear..
He kept saying 'Come on ..come on'..
I got out of the car and told him 'You bloody drive'..
I started to walk home... We didn't live far away.. I waved to the TWO cars behind me and they waved back.. I didn't drive with Sam again as a learner..
Driving lessons are a lot cheaper than divorce soliciters.
Very true. OH had childhood memories of being in the car when his mother was learning to drive. Quite unusual in the 1950s, and it took her god knows how many attempts to pass! He didn't try to teach me or the kids, we had lessons.
