Title: FAO. Mike Rolls.
Post by: Raven on January 02, 2023, 02:05:37 PM
Not too far from my house in Perth, 3 people and 1 doggie died in the fire. I used to teach Linedance in the ballroom of that hotel. :worried:  :worried:

yes, I saw that = terrible news. No news yet, as far as I am aware, as to how it happened. So dreadful - a cousin of mine, aged just 23, died in an hotel fire about 50 years ago - the investigation concluded that she had fallen asleep in bed whilst smoking a cigarette. Back then furniture and bedding was far less fireproof.

From what I can gather it started in the very early hours in one of the upstairs rooms, took over an hour to get it put out. Huge amount of fire fighters there and ambulances too. When Regan left home and got her first wee flat it was right across the road from the County Hotel, What a thing to wake up to. :worried:

there was an horrendous picture of huge flames shooting out of a window - presumably a bedroom window.
