Title: Peaky Blinders.. (No spoilers)
Post by: Scrumpy on April 09, 2022, 10:49:28 AM

I have finished watching series 6 ( last series) ..

The first two episodes had me thinking that I cared not whether I would finish it..
Last night I did finish the series.. Absolutely brilliant..

Only a couple of moans.. Why do they mumble when speaking.. and why is it shot in the dark inside and outside. !!

I gave up after the first two. Maybe I'll give it another try.

How many series have there been ?   I watched the first few episodes on normal telly, but that was ages ago and I gave up as it was too dark and dismal.  My friend and my cousin are both going on about how good it is, but I suppose I'd need to go back to the first series and give it another go !

Series 6 has just been shown on BBC.. It is the final series...

Yes.. It is dark and it can be a bit hard to see or understand what is going on..
I watched the whole series again during lock down.. It brought me up to date and jogged my memory..  I have a little crush on Tommy Selby..

So does my friend Scrumpy !!   he's not my type at all, in fact I think he's a bit 'odd' looking

I'm going to have to restart Last Kingdom. The latest season to complete is quite a while from what went before and they seem to have gone over the top with the number of characters in the first episode of the new season. I recognise lots of faces but am none too sure of names (other than it is likely to contain Ethel) or their position in the heirarchy. Probably just me getting senile though.

we watched series one when it was on years back, but didn't really like it, so the subsequent series have passed me by

Excellent series' and I've enjoyed every one. Especially scenes set in my home town of it's lovely art deco cinema and other teenage haunts.

Did I say I'm hooked  ?

I recognised Rodney Street, St George's Hall and Port Sunlight in a couple of scenes.  I'm up to where he marries Grace, but I'm guessing that won't last long with all Tommy's enemies.

Not Charlie's Aunt (on the birth of Prince Charles, the late Princess Margaret is reputed to have said 'so now I suppose I'm Charlie's Aunt'
