Yes, this is becoming rather worrying.
An article in the Telegraph this morning relates, though not directly to the illegal immigrant incursions.

It seems that in some schools, muslim pupils are attempting to 'persuade' Hindu pupils to convert to Islam!  No doubt, such 'persuasions' will include threats.

This, of course, is exactly what adult muslims in many countries, where they are taking over, force people of other religions to convert, no doubt with the threat of punishment or death.  It is what that religion does and always has done.  It's one thing if that goes on in the third-world, but in this country?

I can only assume that the government is complicit, though I'm not sure how Charlie-boy feels about that.  Mind you, he has already changed some traditional coronation words from, for example, 'defender of the faith' to 'defender of faiths'.

Seeing no moves in the opposite direction, either from Charlie or our government, I sometimes wonder whether this will eventually change again, this time to 'defender of the Islamic faith', because I honestly see the eventual future of this country to become another muslim state like so many in the Middle East and Africa.

Quote from: Raven on April 19, 2023, 01:17:09 PMQuestion......Been talking to a friend who says the government is to blame for the dingy boys. She told me the government closed down the legal route that used to be the way to get here, people applied for asylum from other places before and then when accepted flew in legally. But for some reason it was stopped and now you can only apply once your here. So they now sneak in.
Why would the government do this?

I don't see how that can be true when net legal migration to UK was at a record high of 500,000 in 2022, according to The Office for National Statistics (ONS)  The previous record high was just over 330,000 in 2015, but these figures don't include the dinghy boys.

First I've heard of government sponsored safe routes, and I'm wondering if this stems from leaving the european union. Personally I would favour accepting asylum claims from somewhere in France or further away, because it would save so many crossing the channel in unsuitable and probably illegal boats.

The British government has also encouraged asylum claims by their generosity and created an emergency situation by not processing applications in a timely manner.

Over 5,000 have arrived so far this year, despite the winter weather. There are over 55,000 in hotels and similar accommodation and over 72,000 waiting for their applications to be processed, all being fully maintained.

Quote from: Diasi on April 19, 2023, 09:37:25 AMI don't know about Kent, but West Lindsey Council, where we live, is taking court action to stop RAF Scampton from being used to house 1,500 dinghy boys.

The base was going to be used for a new Dam Busters museum & for cutting-edge aviation technology firms with an estimated 300 new jobs for the Lincoln area.

Same as Phil, 'Emergency Powers' are becoming a misused way to override statute law by bypassing the need to recognised such instruments of objection, such as an 'ex-parte' injunction. This is where a judge in chambers issues a restraining injunction to prevent a party taking a precipitative course of action. They are normally a device in negotiative circumstance to invoke change in the process of either litigation or forceful circumstance. I have issued many, for all sorts of reasons! They can be removed by agreement to amendment, dutifully sworn by affidavit or if the opposition can get another Judge to overturn it. In my days it was very unlikely that a 'brother' would pursue this decision. However today with 'Woke' extending it's boundaries of control such reversals are available via those busy in Camden, Islington and Archway, North London, if you get my meaning?

West Lindsey Council could or may have already issued an Ex parte or restraining injunction preventing HMG from Housing immigrants at Scampton. By the announcement of Emergency Powers, there is no need for the Gov to acknowledge this instrument of law, as it is superseded by the 'Emergencies Act'. Its HMG's 'Get out of Jail Free Card and in this instance has been erroneously misapplied!

This overthrow of acknowledgement is entire hypocrisy by the Gov as they meekly surrendered to what was in reality an injunctive decision by the ECHR to disallow exporting 'asylum seekers' to Rwanda. But in this case they selected to acknowledge a Court whose similar actions are ignored outright these days by many member countries. Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France and Norway, exceed by 100% our tawdry record to cow-tow to this outdated and misused instrument of so called 'justice'

"We must be mad, literally mad, as a nation to be permitting the annual inflow of some 50,000 dependents, who are for the most part the material of the future growth of the immigrant descended population. It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre."

I remember all those years taking in his words, including the above, and agreeing with them.
Sadly, and unfortunately, leading to the eventual ruin of our country, so many people failed to understand and accept his warnings.
The powers-that-be did all they could to discredit him, and even to pour scorn on him.
They, and we, are now learning our folly in ignoring him.

It's all cut & dried now, RAF Scampton will be used to house 2,000 single male dinghy boys.

They will have their own medical facilities on site & they will have their own dedicated bus service to take them to other towns & cities.

They will be free to come & go from the camp as they please & there will be no quarantine or curfew restrictions.

In fact if they aren't back in the camp by 23:00 hrs they will be phoned up to make sure they're ok & if they need any help, which will, no doubt, be provided by getting taxis for them.

Scampton itself is a tiny, fairly isolated, village with a population of 609 residents.

They say that crime doesn't pay.
The crime of entering this country illegally certainly does.
I find it difficult to believe that so many of them are actually being rewarded for doing this.
Many poor people who have never put a foot wrong, including those who have fought for this country, will be wondering why they haven't been given anything like as much.

It seems that the Lib-Cons think they are beginning to persuade people to vote for them again.  I'd be surprised if many people do.

They certainly would.
But wait...
Apart from the Marxists (Labour), and the Lib-Cons, we still have the option of voting for the Lib-Dems.

Oh, and that new party, Reform UK, which everyone keeps insisting is unelectable because it is 'only a minor party'.

But surely, it is only a minor party because not many people vote for it.

Yet it is the only remaining option for the recovery of this country and what we once had.

I'll vote for any reasonable candidate other than
labour, which doesn't represent most working people
conservative, that never conserves anything
liberal democrat, which is neither
green. which is red

is there a "we'll put it back how we found it" party?

GrannyMac

We'll never be as we were, life doesn't work like that, but surely some of the changes can be at least slowed down!

We've just had our local election postal vote slips.

Con, Labour, Green, Lib Dem, and Trade Unionist & Socialist coalition. We might not bother.

Reform have some candidates, but not in our ward.
