I love all dogs, but have a soft spot for working dogs.

This lady, despite being American has hit the right note with me. I love German Shepherds but she is otherwise right.

I had an English Springer.. She would run into the woods and try to round up a squirrel or two.. with no luck..
I saw her come face to face with a rabbit on a lonely track.. they just sat and eyeballed one another.. she never went in for the kill with any other creature.. Gentle soul..

My Grand-dogs aren't on her list, but I wouldn't recommend getting a Beagle to anyone  but I still love them.

Apparently basset hounds get their bad behaviour from the beagle in them.

That doesn't surprise me

Good news from the US concerning Beagles, this trade goes on here too they choose Beagles because they are docile animals, so cruel.
