I love all dogs, but have a soft spot for working dogs.
This lady, despite being American has hit the right note with me. I love German Shepherds but she is otherwise right.

I had an English Springer.. She would run into the woods and try to round up a squirrel or two.. with no luck..
I saw her come face to face with a rabbit on a lonely track.. they just sat and eyeballed one another.. she never went in for the kill with any other creature.. Gentle soul..

My Grand-dogs aren't on her list, but I wouldn't recommend getting a Beagle to anyone :rolleyes: but I still love them.
Apparently basset hounds get their bad behaviour from the beagle in them.
That doesn't surprise me :grin:
