Just a reminder to submit your meter readings today, unless you have smart meters.

My smart meter screen mornings shows about 80 to 90 pence, before I've even switched the kettle on !

Does it include the standing charge? If not I  think that is a bit high. Iirc a unit is 28p and overnight you only have things like a fridge freezer and probably your router running.

I have electrical  gizmos all over the place as you might guess. My normal whole day usage is about 5 to 6 units. Overnight my readings show about ΒΌ unit per hour so 8 hours would be 2 units or 56p

I can't check my smart meter display unit as I binned it when the meter stopped being smart after I switched provider. Octopus got it showing usage again. It would be interesting to hear what others show.

I don't know if standing charge shows or not, at the moment it's showing 16 pence and it's 1.20am - can't sleep again  it might be my telly that makes mine higher.

Yep some TVs can use quite a bit so that is likely it. I just read a paperwhite and usually drop off in a couple of pages. One story can last a year
