Doesn't seem possible, but it's a quarter of a century since Princess Diana died. Can still remember the shock at hearing the news

I recall that my first thought was "they've bumped her off".

I can't really say it's ever concerned me, she was just one of thousands of people I never knew or met who died that day.

It's still what I think.

It's odd how the news stories switched immediately from scrubber dating a rich Muslim to People's Princess.

There is a rule in aviation, they call it "this is stupid", when you realise that something isn't right you should say it out loud. If somebody had only said those words - this is stupid - the princess might be with us today. On the other hand if there had been some intention behind the events. as Mr Fayed was convinced, they would just have tried again. For all we know this wasn't their first attempt.

I mainly felt sorry for her sons. The premature death of a parent knocks kids for six, and they had no hiding place.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I never thought that about her. But I did think her dating that guy would upset the Royals big time.

Unlike others.. and there are many who lose their parents at a young age.. Much younger than these two..  They are privileged.. pampered and cared for.. beyond any of our imagination..

I remember coming in well after 2am, tottering a bit   so I raided the fridge and then switched the telly on and sat down.  I remember sitting there for a couple of hours while they told us Diana had been injured, until they finally announced that she had died.  One of those moments you remember like JFK - I remember that too.
