I doubt anything that actually works will be produced. There have been promises before. They never mention the sky high level of inward migration they have allowed. Nor the sort of nonsense the cow tow to over incidents such as the dropping of a Koran by an autistic child.
It is an indication that they are starting to panic over their position in the polls which suggest that the Tories face a well deserved existential threat at the next election.
