I've just had fish and mushy peas for tea, but by the time the fish was cooked most of the mushy peas had disappeared.  I love them cold    Out of curiosity I searched Google for ' cold mushy peas' the only entry I could find was from a pregnant woman

When our son lived at home, we occasionally had a cold mushy pea sandwich, for supper....  :upvote:

Used to get a Buster for my tea from the chippie sometimes when I was a lot younger. That was what we called chips n mushy peas.

The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

Mushy peas. !!  I haven't had them.. I think I would like them..
Fish and chips taste best at the seaside.. sitting on a bench.. looking out to sea..
Must have vinegar and salt on them.. no sauce..
