Heatwave warning..
I walked in the park early this morning then popped into the shop..The salad stuff was flying off the shelves..The bottled water shelves were almost empty.. Surely people are not panic buying..!! I do realise that care must be taken by all... But this is daft...
Come the Autumn and the panic will be Leaves on the Line..
What did I buy in the shop.. !! SALAD.. :grin:
Bet they didn't have any fans....
I bought extra milk, bread, rolls and put them in the freezer. Will be looking to get salad stuff and potatoes tomorrow.
I don't understand the link between hot weather and salad.
I'd rather have a good curry :grin:

heatwave hysteria! As I mentioned elsewhere, in 2003 when Victoria got married in Spain, we spent several days in Madrid - 43C. OK, hot, but didn't stop the local children playing in the sun, the elderly gentlemen wandering around in suits (as did I).

Heatwave Hysteria! :nooo: Nope, not in my case. I simply don't feel too good in the heat these days and would rather stay out of it. I bought the extra to save myself having to go out.

I would think that the locals of Madrid are familiar with extreme heat.. and are more adaptable then we fair skinned Brits are..

sorry, Raven - I was commenting on the nannying advice coming from the elite - as if we were too bloody stupid to work out what to do when it is too hot for comfort. Like you, the heat affects me far more than it did 19 years ago in Madrid - so I just act sensibly

Yes it will be hot but there is also a lot of suspect data being presented as evidence of climate change.

I've been out in higher temperatures in Africa. That's why those people wear tents and blankets to keep the heat off their skin, and sit in the shade. I've also caught the sun and it made me quite ill, lost control of my body temperature for some hours.
