The man who was shot by the FBI was British, allegedly.    He was a Labour Party activist from Blackburn and had friends on Blackburn council.
What I cannot understand about this shooting is how this man was allowed into the US in the first place, I thought they were very strict .  Secondly, how did he manage to buy a gun ?

Yes how did he manage to get into the States apparently he has or should I say had a Criminal Record that normally means you are denied entry, as for buying a Firearm easy lots of unlawfully held weapons all you need is cash

Flying Bomb

That's a great name for a British citizen.
Not like foreign names such as John Smith, Fred, Tom, Dick or Harry.

Thought he was a nothing previous, apart from being mentally unstable? A UK citizen of Pakistani ethnicity He entered the US via New York, which is a deep blue 'Biden Wokeland' Democrat State. Being of Asian ethnicity and via evil colonial oppressor 'England' would have probably given his visa a big 'hurry up' therefore.

Texas however is very Red (Republican), where he was certainly more likely to be shot dead, bringing a more permanent result to the continuance of his ideologies, than if he'd remained in Blackburn Lancashire.

What a good idea .. We could fast track all our undesirables to Texas..  :cowboy: Where they could practice their shooting skills..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I am against the American love for guns but on this particular occasion, the FBI did the right thing IMO.

Wandering Walter

Yes they tried for a long time to talk him out but that failed according to the news this morning his family back in Blackburn went to the Police Station and tried to get him to give up and surrender but failed , hence the FBI had no choice but to take him out

Thank you Mike.  He was a tiny, timid little thing when we got him last year but now he rules the house and Paul is his obedient servant (Paul is really a dog person and was brought up to believe that cats are vermin).

He tells me to sit on the top stair and then curls himself up on my lap and puts his head back for a kiss (the cat, not Paul!).

Unfortunately, because I was shielding, he is terrified of anyone but us.  When one of my daughters stayed for a few days she didn't look at him and was very quiet.  Eventually he sat near her and just stared but was still very wary.

let's hope he gets used to people
