650million behind the bar at the Coop Live Arena wouldn't get much of a round in.  £8.50 for a small tin of white wine!!🙄

Frank met Crystal outside the bingo hall
No trouble spotting her at nearly 7 foot tall
With stiletto heels she towered above
Frank had to climb up to kiss his love
Leaning a ladder against the wall

Looking down gave Frank a fright

Quote from: Alex on May 24, 2024, 01:56:56 PMI use Edge JB and don't have any problems on Facebook, except when I use it on my tablet I can't see a place to log out, same with my phone.  Are you talking about the notifications we get in top right hand corner next to your account icon ?
Yes, exactly that.  It now just shows a list of times posted, but with no details of who or what!
Chrome works, thankfully, so I'll just use it alternately with Edge.  No problem.

Quote from: Alex on May 24, 2024, 01:48:44 PMWhat kind of country tells its police force to stop arresting people  :wtf:
Has this ever happened before, anywhere in the world ?
Actually, I think that the people who run this country are proud to announce that it is the most free place in the world.  Perfectly true, of course.  Free to do what you want, including breaking the law!

Quote from: JBR on May 24, 2024, 11:23:53 AMThere seem to be many people, especially in this country, who seem to enjoy being 'offended' with almost anything which crosses their little minds.  It is a national pastime.

Yes,  I agree, JBR.   It's like a new hobby for some people.

Hah,  yes, they are becoming a rarity aren't they Scrumpy.
I still see one sometimes, but they don't seem as common as they used to be.

I reckon it's  to do with climate change.   Everything else gets blamed on that.

Quote from: Vlad on May 24, 2024, 12:22:05 PMAnd me, with a Christmas card.
I had an odd one about tipping about a month ago, I was looking at ordering some stuff online from a clothing retailer at the time I wasn't aware that the retailer was in China, so picked what I wanted and went to payment and there was the total amount due and a small box asking what percentage tip I would like to add!
I didn't complete the order, how bloody cheeky!
What was I supposed to be tipping for?

Blimey,   I agree, Vlad.
I'd have done the same as you and cancelled.
