Title: Covid
Post by: Sheila on March 14, 2022, 08:09:14 AM
Paul tested positive yesterday but I was negative.  There doesn't seem to be much point in trying to avoid him as we can't take the advice to 'use separate bathrooms' etc.

I have a two week supply of AB in case I need them but after taking seven AB every day for eighteen months, I am delighted to have had three years without any.  I am just wondering if I should make a dive to the supermarket and stock up while I am negative.

All the best to you both. Double jabbed and boosted you should be fine. I personally know 9 people who have it at the moment! The most ever!

Any symptoms? If not then one positive and another living in the same house but testing negative sounds like a possible false positive. Worth him taking another test IMO.

My friend and my daughter have the most horendous "colds" at the moment which have gone on so far for over a week and have gone on their chests.  Both have tested and are negative, but my daughter has had two workmates who tested positive describing similar symptoms.  Both are tripple jabbed.

Apparently there is a Stealth varient around, could this be it?  Strangely my friend's husband who has cancer has not gone down with it nor my son in law both again tripple jabbed.

Hope Paul is better soon Shelia and that you are OK too.

Yes, he's coughing a lot (that's my job!) and feels rough.  He reported a positive LFT and a PCR test is being delivered today.  That's very efficient service.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone.  I had to cut my last post short because my daughter phoned as she is worried about us.  She is just recovering from her second bout of covid despite being triple jabbed.

She's worried about us and wanted to drive over but it is a 45 minute drive and we are ok.  If we get stuck we have good neighbours who would leave food in our porch.

They have always shipped them quickly. The postal service on covid testing has been excellent throughout. Results are fast too with Sunday collections available.

Sounds like he must have it then but you are immune. I never got symptoms or tested postive after spending all day with my son the day before he tested positive. Xetog over on PF PCR tested +ve and his wife didn't (or vice versa) during his ONS testing participation. I don't think either had symptoms though and I suspect that was a false positive result.

Hope it's a false reading, but if not then very mild.

Yes, good news Mike.

Well, if it is covid, it has not affected his appetite.  I made a big pan of stew and dumplings, thinking there may be some left for tomorrow.  He decided it was delicious and should be made more often.  It has all gone.
