That was one of my mothers favourite sayings when I left home, she just couldn't keep her nose out of my finances, or anything else. :yell:

one of my favourite sayings - and it totally unfair to imply that this was not practiced by her predecessors

You are joking of course. Governments have been running with a budget defecit all of this century and apart from brief periods of surplus since the 70s
