better than me - well done

I use a different technique from most or maybe all here.
I just use the same 3 or 4 words to identify or exclude common letters in the answer and usually don't even start guessing the word until I get at least 4 letters. It means I don't usually get it in few letters other than by fluke or for that matter fail very often but I do usually only spend a minute on it unless there is something odd about the word.

Must admit that it takes me a good bit more than a few minutes - usually around ten

If I depart from my method I usually end up with one letter to find that has several possibilities which haven't been eliminated. I then proceed to pick the wrong options and get annoyed. I do sometimes take a punt but not often.
