I got it in 5 today.. Very embarrassing..

I had a 6 and a 5 the two days prior. 

Twos as I said today and have said before must be down to chance because you need a decent start and plenty of times I've started out with nothing or one in the wrong place on the first word.
I think the nerdle games require more effort and there is plenty of luck involved with those too.

I agree. Not many choices for me here, three correct start letters, possible in two, but could have been four.  Lucky pick at three.
