klondike.. I often look at the results of others and notice that in your second entry you didn't use your green (positive) nor your yellow  square..   Surely that is a wasted try..!!!!  
Sad init.. I must get out more..

I prefer quordle to wordle and don't spend much time on either (as is clear from my scores).

I just try to correctly finish both and rather than agonise over every guess I just use the same  three words to start which I tweak sometimes. The knowns and known missing after that usually but not always let me guess the words reasonably easily.  Today's quodle I had 4 letters with one in the right place. Getting the answer wasn't hard then.

It's rare I get less than 4 in wordle unless my first or first and second strike gold and my most usual quordle score is 4 5 6 7 although it will sometimes start with a 3 and on a bad day (like yesterday) it can degrade out to a fail.

Usually fails come when there are multiple correct possible words and I guess wrong (dropped one in quordle today on that but my first word choice was poor anyway) Yesterday's quordle fail was mostly rushing as I made a bad entry which had to be wrong.
