BERLIN (AP) — Germany is considering establishing short-term border controls with Poland and the Czech Republic to keep irregular migrants from entering the country.
Interior Minister Nancy Faeser told German newspaper Welt am Sonntag that setting up temporary police checks on border crossings would help Germany prevent the smuggling and trafficking of people.
She added that the increased border checks would need to be combined with the already ongoing random police checks that are being carried out.
Ursula should warn Germany that they risk being fined and/or expelled from the EU as that is against EU policy.
Germany will do what she wants, she's in charge after all
She's certainly in charge of picking up the tab...
Das stimmt !

If Germany was expelled from the EU, it would almost immediately collapse.
No, not a financial problem. It would simply mean that France would then be in complete control.
I think the first thing they'd do would be to invite Russia in to take over the whole thing!
Don't know why they don't just set up a huge log flume from Germany right the way down to the English Channel. We've got loads of room and a bottomless pit of money and resources to take all and sundry.

EU policy can be changed, as can its presidents.
And they can't boss Germany around anyway of course.
